Upcoming Action

In recognition of International Human Rights Day, WHAT’S UP?! is spreading holiday cheer and hearty conversation about how white people can end racism. Please join us to sing anti-racism themed carols, hold signs, and talk to bystanders about white supremacy.

We are targeting the holiday market in Market Square during rush-hour where we expect to greet lots of office workers. For those of you that haven’t seen it, during December Market Square is transformed into a kind of outdoor mall with garage size booths to buy trinkets.

We will be holding signs with phrases such as “All I want for Christmas is racial justice”. Drop by our Monday committee meeting to make your own sign.

Action details:
Thursday, December 10th, meet at 4:45pm at the fountain in the center of the square. Please attend our event in your favorite snowman sweatshirt or Santa hat.

We will also be passing a red pail to collect money for the medical fund of the hate crime shooting victim in Hazelwood.https://www.launchgood.com/fund_for_pittsburgh_muslim_hat…
